Wrestler Sumit Dalal reached the arena in village Mandauthi of Jhajjar district after winning a medal in the Sub Junior World Cadet Wrestling competition in Hungary.
Wrestler Sumit Dalal of Mandauthi village of Jhajjar district has won bronze medal in Junior World Cadet Wrestling. Sumit has achieved this feat in the Greco-Roman category of the competition held in Budapest, Hungary. Sumit had defeated the Kazakhstan wrestler 8-0 in this match. Hind Kesari Sonu Akhara wrestler Sumit Dalal was given a warm welcome on his return. HL City director Rakesh Jun awarded Rs 3.22 lakh to Sumit and his coach.
Sumit’s coach Dharmendra told that in World Cadet Wrestling, Sumit has won the medal by defeating wrestlers from Croatia, Armenia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan while playing in 60 kg weight category of Greco-Roman. He said that Sumit is a disciplined wrestler and one day he will also become a world champion and will bring laurels to the country in Olympics also. He said that in freestyle wrestling at the international level, wrestlers bring a lot of medals, but in Greco-Roman, they get very few medals. In such a situation, Sumit Dalal has raised the country’s hopes by winning a medal in Greco-Roman wrestling. Arjuna Awardee wrestler Dharmendra is teaching Sumit Greco-Roman wrestling.
