Biden and Boris Johnson after meeting in London on Thursday.
US President Joe Biden, who arrived in Britain on his first overseas tour after becoming president, met Prime Minister Boris Johnson here on Thursday. This meeting between the two lasted about 80 minutes. Johnson looked overjoyed. Said- Meeting with the US President was just like you take a long time in the fresh air. At the same time, Biden talked to the media about the vaccine after the meeting. Said- America will donate 500 million doses of Pfizer vaccine to poor countries. However, his announcement is not new. A few days ago the White House had pointed this out.
Johnson admires Biden
Johnson gave information about some issues after a long conversation with Biden. Said- We have considered all the important things. America and Britain are ready to work together. This includes climate change, covid-19 and international security. You can see how well we are progressing. An 80 minute meeting is too long. Johnson denied that there was some difference of opinion between the two countries on the issue of Brexit.
Biden and Macron’s Vaccine Diplomacy
Biden announced that America will buy 500 million Pfizer vaccines for 92 poor countries and they will be donated. This will save millions of lives.
On the other hand, French President Emmanuel Macron is also moving fast on the issue of vaccine. He said in Paris – pharma companies should donate 10% of their total production to poor countries. G-7 countries should vaccinate 60 percent of the African population by March 2022.
