The registration process for admission to undergraduate courses in Delhi University is starting from today. Candidates willing to take admission can apply online through DU’s admission portal entry.uod.ac.in. Most of the admission in UG courses is done on the basis of merit prepared on the basis of 12th board exam. However, entrance exam is conducted for some courses. The registration for merit-based admission will be done till August 31.

DU cut off may remain high this time

Apart from this, the registration process is also going on for admission in PG courses in the university. At the same time, this year the DU Cut Off Marks for Admission in UG Courses is likely to remain high. In fact, this year many students have secured more than 95 percent marks in CBSE class 12th. In such a situation, it is expected that the cutoff may go high.

Admission will be available on 65 thousand seats of UG

DU will conduct the admission in multiple rounds. Under this, the cut off list will be released at the end of each round. Last year, top colleges closed the admissions after the first and second rounds. Many of these had fixed cut offs of 100% for the in-demand courses. This time a total of 65 thousand seats of UG will be given admission in the university. Whereas, 20 thousand seats have been fixed for PG. The first cut off list will be released from 7 to 10 September.

There will be no trial for ECA and sports quota

Due to Corona this year, the university cannot conduct trials for admission from ECA and sports quota. According to a DU statement in this regard, “Admission to the candidates for these supernumerary seats will be made on the basis of merit/participation certificate. For this year only, students will be allowed to upload certificates for the last four years (1 May 2017 – 30 April 2021).”
