Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) has crossed the total sales mark of 50 lakh units in the rural markets of India. The company said that with over 1700 outlets in rural parts of the country, nearly 40 per cent of its total sales today come from rural markets. The company’s total sales in the April-June period of the current financial year stood at 3,53,614 units. Total sales in the financial year 2020-21 were 14,57,861 units, which was lower than the total sales of 15,63,297 units in 2019-20.

Monthly growth of 217% was found in June
In June, the demand for Maruti cars remained on the seventh sky. The company sold 1,47,368 units with a growth of 217% on a monthly basis. In May, the company had sold only 46,555 units. Maruti’s compact vehicle and utility vehicle segment saw growth.

The company sold 17,237 units in June as against 11,262 units in May. Similarly, it sold 97,359 units in the mini and compact vehicle segment, registering a four-fold growth. In the utility vehicle segment, it sold 25,484 units as against 6,355 units in May.

Car warranty and free service extended till July 31
Maruti has extended the warranty period for its customers till July 31. The company said that the benefit of free service and warranty extension will be available to those customers whose period was between March 15, 2021 to June 30, 2021.

Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Director (Service), Maruti Suzuki India said that we are extending the warranty period to give convenience to our customers. In times of pandemic, customers are unable to travel by vehicles. In such a situation, now you will be able to take advantage of our services at your convenience.
