Candidates preparing for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), 2021 can apply for the exam from today, January 01. According to the notification issued by the Consortium of National Law Universities, the entrance exam will be conducted on 09 May 2021. The examination will be held offline ie in the pen-paper format, evening slot ie between three to five o’clock in the evening. Candidates can apply till 31 March 2021 through the official website consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
Candidates will have to submit a registration fee of Rs 4000 for registration of entrance exam CLAT-2020 for admission in law college. Candidates can pay the registration fee through online mode. However, the application fee for candidates belonging to SC, ST, SST and OBC categories has been fixed at Rs 3500.
In the exam, 150 objective type questions will be asked in English, Current Affairs, Legal Reasoning, Quantitative Techniques and Logical Reasoning. Also, negative marking of 0.25 marks will be done for every wrong answer for both UG and PG.
Who can apply?
The exam authority has not shared any information regarding the release of the admit card. In such a situation, the candidates are advised to visit the official website from time to time. According to the notification issued by the consortium, 12th pass candidates can apply for this entrance exam from a recognized board with at least 45 percent marks from a 10 + 2 pattern.
Such candidates who will appear for the 12th examination this year can also register. Similarly, they can apply for PG Courses who have completed LLB degree with at least 50 percent marks.
